Youth for Tomorrow is hosting their annual ‘Heart 2 Heart’ gala on February 13.
Oh, and you could win a car worth $25,000.
The gala, which will be hosted at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson’s Corner, will feature a fun evening of dining, dancing, and a performance by headliner Martina McBride.
According to Youth for Tomorrow spokeswoman Laura Cotterman, the money raised by the fundraiser gala will benefit all of the organization’s programs.
Youth for Tomorrow serves boys and girls in need in the area with a variety of programs, including residential and outpatient programs.
“We’re an accredited secondary school, and we [help] children for many different reasons. We have some kids that are in trouble, to kids that have been abused or neglected…homelessness, poverty, sexual and physical abuse, kid’s that have drug problems,” said Cotterman.
According to Cotterman, a lot of the gala’s fundraising will go toward aiding sex trafficked young girls.
“A lot of the funds that we raise with our special events go to underwrite the care of these sex trafficked girls,” Cotterman said.
In addition to the dinner and a show, Youth for Tomorrow will be drawing a winner for a raffle, where the winner can win a brand new car, courtesy of Lustine Toyota, or $25,000.
“That night we hold a drawing for our benefit raffle, and we’re raffling off a 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited – that’s the grand prize…and you can either win the Highlander of $25,000,” said Cotterman.
People interested in the grand prize do not need to attend the gala to purchase raffle tickets. Raffle tickets can be purchased online on Youth for Tomorrow’s website.
A few tickets are still available for the gala, according to Cotterman. Tickets are $1,500 for a couple and includes an overnight at the Ritz Carlton.
