Local students are aiding Manassas non-profits.
Middle schoolers have collected more than $2,400 for two organizations through the annual Leadership Lemonade fundraiser.
It was held at Youth For Tomorrow in Bristow.
Members of the red team raised $1,427.85 for the BrightCare Center, according to a release from Leadership Prince William (LPW). The blue team secured $1,064.25 for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA CIS).
Leadership Lemonade is one of the activities offered through the Summer Youth Academy, a program that enables students to build leadership and life skills.
The academy is run by LPW, which seeks to engage and inspire area leaders who want to make a difference.
