Community members have a chance to browse through vendors and make a few four-legged friends.
The first annual Multi-Vendor Yard & Craft Sale is coming to Dumfries on June 18.
Held by the Humane Society of Northern Virginia (HSNV), the event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. It’s taking place at HSNV, which is powered by Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets (A3P) and is located at 17983 Dumfries Shopping Plaza.

Treats, jewelry and unique door signs are some of the items that attendees will find, according to Volunteer and Board Member Christy Lynn.
Space is still available for those who would like to set up a table. A 10-by-10 spot costs $25 for rescues and $35 for others. These registration fees will go to support the humane society.
“Our mission is to help homeless pets find their forever home, and every penny … that we get goes toward that effort,” Lynn told What’s Up Prince William (WUPW.news).
Fostering adoptable pets is another way community members can support the HSNV. Those who help rescues in this way play a critical part, explained Lynn, who also serves as the foster coordinator for A3P.
“The more fosters we have, the more lives that we can save,” Lynn added. “Fosters play such a huge role in enabling us to rescue more cats and dogs, or to assist with expectant moms or moms that have had a litter that need that place, that quiet time.”
