The Woodbridge Rotary Club is hosting their annual Devaney-O’Hop Memorial Golf Tournament on June 23 in Lake Ridge.
The golf tournament will be held all day at the Old Hickory Golf Club.
According to Woodbridge Rotary member Mark Worrilow, the golf tournament is held in honor of two members that passed away.
“One of the things that is significant about our golf tournament is the fact that it is in memory of two of our past members who have since passed – one in 2005, and one in 2015. They were great members, great contributors, and they were actually some of the very first members of Old Hickory Golf Club,” said Worrilow.
All of the money that the Woodbridge Rotary raises throughout the year is donated to charities and non-profits like The Arc, Project Mend-A-House, and Action in Community Through Service (ACTS).
“Rotary is about service above self – that’s our motto – it’s a service organization,” said Worrilow.
The organization is looking for sponsors, golfers, and door prizes for the tournament. For more information about the tournament, click here.
