A ranked list by Niche.com listed Manassas, Manassas Park, and Woodbridge among the ‘2017 Best Suburbs to Live in Virginia’.
The site listed 100 suburbs in the area, and Woodbridge was ranked #84 on the list.
A Woodbridge resident reviewed the area, stating:
Woodbridge, Virginia is a continuously growing city with much to offer. I’ve recently moved here and admire the metro life with the benefit of a slower lifestyle. With places like Potomac Town Center (Stonebridge) and Potomac Mills shopping mall, there is no reason to travel outside of the city to find something to do, including a diverse array of menu choices from their many different restaurants. Starting a family? Looking for a medium-paced environment to establish your domain? Check out Woodbridge. You will not be disappointed!
Manassas Park was ranked #90 on the list.
On the site, a Manassas Park resident said:
I’ve been in Manassas Park for nearly all 24 years of my life. The city sits on a major VRE station that attracts government employees to move their families here. The population is incredibly diverse. Its fully-accredited school system was good to me and my siblings. We’ve come a long way from our vocational high school in the 80s. While there were a couple of years where gangs were a concern, that was nearly a decade ago. Manassas Park has cleaned up its act and invested more into public safety.
And Manassas was ranked #94 on the list.
A Manassas resident had this to say on the Niche site:
The Manassas area of northern Virginia offers a wealth of cultural, historical, and natural sites to visit. Do you enjoy learning about the Civil War? You can walk on the site of the First and Second Battles of Manassas! Want to visit a museum? The Manassas Museum and the Freedom Museum (at the Manassas airport) are small but packed with local and regional history. More interested in art? Hop on the Virginia Railway Express for easy access to DC and the Smithsonian museums. College students will find the Northern Virginia Community Colleges (multiple campuses) and George Mason University easily accessible from Manassas. A great place to live and learn!
