Woodbridge-resident and business owner Rashid Iqbal has won $150,000 from the Virginia Lottery.
According to a release, when Iqbal found out he was a winner of the Lucky Cherry Slots Scratcher game, he thought he had only won $1,500.
When Iqbal brought his ticket to the Virginia Lottery office, he was told he had actually won $150,000.
“’No! No,’ he kept saying as Lottery employees told him what his ticket was really worth,” stated a release.
Iqbal purchased his winning ticket at the Manassas Mall Exxon on Sudley Road.
“Lucky Cherry Slots is one of dozens of Scratcher games from the Virginia Lottery. It features prizes ranging from $5 to $150,000. He is the ninth person to claim the top prize in this game, which means one $150,000 ticket remains unclaimed,” stated a release.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 440,640, according to the Virginia Lottery.
