22 women worked together to beautify interior walls and two teachers’ lounges at Fred M. Lynn Middle School in Woodbridge.
According to a release, the women are members of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG), and were inspired to complete the project after receiving the ‘Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service’ back in June.
The award is given to volunteer organizations each year from the United Kingdom’s government.
“Thinking about the lack of resources that tend to limit public schools in the Woodbridge area, a team of moms from the WMSCOG were moved to serve the very places and people that contribute to the future of youth and their own children. The moms rallied a group of WMSCOG members this past Sunday to help paint the interior of the middle school,” stated a release.
“I’ve realized that those around you, who make a difference even in the life of your child, deserve to be recognized and be served for all their hard work,” stated a WMSCOG member in a release.
