Those living in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., may be seeing another snow day this week.
Between 4 and 6 inches of snow is expected on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A winter storm warning will be taking effect at 1 a.m. and continuing until 7 p.m.
Snowfall is forecasted to become sleet during the late morning or early after before transitioning to rain in the evening.
The weather conditions could make it difficult to drive on Wednesday morning and evening.
Motorists are advised by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to avoid traveling until the roads improve.
VDOT crews have pretreated Virginia interstates and major roads, according to a release. Trucks will be stationed along the roads to pretreat or plow them after the winter weather begins.
