Another snowy night could be in store for Northern Virginia.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting winter weather – snow, sleet and rain – in northern Virginia, central Maryland and Washington, D.C.
It’s expected between 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. on Thursday, according to the NWS.
NWS is calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow in Washington, D.C.’s, northwestern areas.
Roads, driveways, steps and sidewalks may be slippery.
The public is encouraged to travel slowly and cautiously.
Crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) started pre-treating roads and interstates in Northern Virginia, including Prince William County, on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
According to a release from VDOT, crew members and around 2,300 trucks are going to be ready to treat the roads and plow snow.
