Get ready – a winter storm is going to be moving through the Prince William area next week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The area is under a Winter Storm Watch from Monday night through Tuesday afternoon.
According to NWS, more than 5 inches of snow is expected within the 12 hour time period of the storm, and some parts of the area may see far higher amounts of accumulations – some projections saying as much as 12 inches.
“The heavy snow may make many roads impassable and may produce power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines,” stated NWS.
