The dedication of one Woodbridge resident has paid off.
Bobby Flowers recently won $100,000 after playing in the Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 game.
During the September 25 drawing, he matched all five winning numbers, which included “33” and his birthday.
Flowers has often used the same numbers for tickets he’s purchased at various Wawa’s on Route 1.
He purchased his winning ticket from the Wawa at 15809 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge.
Drawings for the Cash 5 game occur at 1:50 p.m. and 11 p.m. every day. Players have a 1 in 278,256 chance of winning the top prize of $100,000.
