Local high school students and art teachers have a chance to win cash.
Entries are being accepted for the Prince William County Service Authority’s (PWCSA) 2022 Water Art Invitational.
Public, private and homeschool students can turn in paintings and drawings, computer graphics, and photos until 4 p.m. on February 11, according to a release from the Service Authority.
The theme is “Our Most Precious Resource”. Submissions and registration forms should be emailed to outreach@pwcsa.org.
PWCSA will feature the pieces and paragraphs provided with them in virtual exhibits set up on its website.
The awards ceremony is taking place at 6 p.m. on March 10. Whether it’s in-person or online is based on COVID-19 procedures.
Prizes will be awarded to the art contest winners and their art teachers. The Service Authority is going to display the winning piece in its facilities and include it in the Water Art Invitational wall calendar next year.
More information about the Water Art Invitational can be found on the PWCSA website.
Through January 21, teachers may ask for pre-recorded and live presentations about the contest by emailing outreach@pwcsa.org.
