Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins is stopping in Manassas on July 30 to spend time at the Pet Supplies Plus store he co-owns.
Cousins will be meeting with pet owners and fans, and signing autographs at the location at 7859 Sudley Road from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to a release.
“We are very excited to have Kirk help us open up our new store in Manassas. This is a very exciting time for us and our neighbors in Manassas,” stated Pet Supplies Plus owner Steve Adams in a release.

Cousins, heading into his sixth season with the Redskins turned in record-setting performances the last two seasons that earned him a spot in last year’s NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando, Fla. He has played in all 16 of the Redskins’ games in each of the last two regular seasons. Last season he completed 67 percent of his passes and threw for nearly 5,000 yards. The Redskins open the regular season Sept. 10 at home against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles.
Cousins and his wife, Julie, are not only pet lovers and pet owners, but also are part owners of the new Manassas store.
“I want to get around good people and I want to invest in good people and I want to be around a culture of good people. I saw that in Pet Supplies Plus and I like the culture here,” stated Cousins in release.
The grand opening for the store, outside of Cousins’ visit, is set for August 5 and 6. There will be prizes and other special events to celebrate the grand opening, according to a release.
This is the sixth Pet Supplies Plus store in the Northern Virginia area.
