Two Dale City spaces have been given a face-lift.
More than 300 volunteers assisted with projects in Dale City for Comcast Cares Day.
Leadership Prince William (LPW) in Manassas collaborated with Comcast on the annual community service event, according to a release from LPW.
They were assisted by individuals from many organizations, including Birmingham Green in Manassas, Potomac Valley Church in Woodbridge, and the Colgan High School baseball team.
The projects ranged from painting to building furniture for The Arc of Greater Prince William. Participants mulched and planted flowers at the John D. Jenkins Park, which was rededicated in the afternoon.

Those who proposed The Arc of Greater Prince William were passionate about assisting individuals who have disabilities, according to LPW Executive Director Andrea Money.
“The entire Leadership Prince William Class of 2019 threw their weight behind the project and it came together in a huge way. I think that passion extended to the volunteer sign-ups as well. We have never had this many volunteers on any other project. Eventually we actually had to close the registration because we had exceeded the estimated needed by over 100 people,” Money said in a release. “It was clearly the right time for this project.”
