Project Mend-A-House (PMAH) is hosting their ‘Fall Fix It Fest’ on October 8 and 15, and they need your help.
According to a release, PMAH is hosting the community service day to help a Prince William resident with major home repairs.
“Mr. Jack R has been unable to make repairs to his home for many years due to financial and health issues. He has a multitude of needs. Raccoons have eaten a hole in the side of his home and he has little to no working plumbing,” stated a release.
PMAH has been able to patch the hole in the home and get one toilet working, but more work needs to be done.
According to a release, the home needs volunteers to assist with some exterior issues including the roof, siding, fascia, gutters, debris, and yard waste.
The volunteer work will happen on-site from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 8 and 15, and volunteers can come for a partial day if needed, stated a release. 30 to 40 volunteers are needed for each day.
