A recent donation from VITAS Community Connection (VCC) is going to support Virginia veterans.
VCC, VITAS Healthcare’s charitable arm, donated $1,000 to the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Veteran Association last month, according to a release.
All VCC donations are used for patient needs or serve as grants to its community partners, who aid VITAS patients.
The NOVA Veterans Association is a Manassas-based non-profit that offers free resources to veterans and military families, such as healthcare, housing and employment support.
VITAS Community Connection is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All contributions are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. 100% of every donation goes to local patient needs or as grants donated to local community partners, who also provide aid to many VITAS patients.
The gift was presented at the NOVA Veterans Quarterly Membership Meeting in Manassas.
“As part of our commitment to caring for our veteran community, VITAS is proud to support the Northern Virginia Veterans Association through VCC that will enhance access to much-needed community health and healthcare resources for them,” VITAS Northern Virginia General Manager Debra Keenan said in a release.
