County residents shifted gears this weekend when they attended an annual event.
Prince William Historic Preservation Foundation hosted a Vintage Car Display on Saturday.
It took place at Rippon Lodge in Woodbridge.
“We have folks from the area, from out of the area come and bring their classic automobiles from the very beginning days of cars all the way up to the 1980s, early 1990s,” Historic Interpreter John McDonald said.
Rippon Lodge is located near Route 1, which used to be known as the King’s Highway.
“People have been traveling up and down past this house for thousands of years — on foot, on car, on train,” McDonald said. “So, we try and do a little bit of that here at the end of the summer and just celebrate that history, as well.”
