Veterans and those who sacrificed their lives while serving their country are being recognized.
At 1 p.m. on May 14, county officials will host a ceremony in honor of Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day.
Armed Forces Day, which is on May 18, acknowledges military members. Memorial Day is on May 27, and it remembers individuals who died while serving.
The ceremony will take place at the Prince William County War Memorial, according to a release from Prince William County.
Located in Freedom Park, the memorial lists Prince William County residents who have died in service since World War I.
Freedom Park sits at the Prince William County Government Complex, 1 County Complex Court in Woodbridge.
Community members who can’t attend the ceremony will be able to see a video of the program on the county’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
