Appreciation is about to be shown for those who served in the military.
On November 4, the 2023 Northern Virginia Veterans Parade is traveling through downtown Manassas.
Organized by non-profit VetPar Inc., the parade starts at 11 a.m. at the Prescott Avenue-Quarry Road intersection. It will proceed along Center Street and go by the Harris Pavilion.
Community members may park in different City Municipal parking lots. Handicap parking is available at the corner of Prince William Street and Main Street.
This year’s Grand Marshal is U.S. Coast Guard Captain Rob Potter, who attended Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS).
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available. Organizations and businesses may also sign up to participate.
The Parade Participant Committee is accepting applications until October 15. Those who sign up will be notified when their parade application has been received. Questions may be emailed to participants@vetpar.org.
