Jake brakes, speeding in neighborhoods, and mufflers that have been adjusted are some contributors to vehicle noise.
Enforcing moving noise violations can be challenging, due to codes in Virginia and Prince William County.
Local representatives and officials will discuss the topic during a virtual town hall.
Held by Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye, the event begins at 6:30 p.m. on March 11.
The panelists also include Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Amy Ashworth, Prince William County Special Operations Bureau/Traffic Unit First Sergeant Ed Petke, state Delegate Danica Roem, state Senator Scott Surovell, and the Virginia State Police’s Safety Division.
They will talk about obstacles that come with addressing vehicle noise and how it may be regulated better.
County residents can register on eventbrite and submit questions when they sign up. A Q&A is taking place after the discussion.
