The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) in hosting their 13th annual career fair in Manassas on October 5.
According to VDOT, more than 1,700 high school students and 100 employers will be attending, in an effort to promote transportation-related careers.
The career fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince William County Fairgrounds at 10624 Dumfries Road.
“Around 1,700 high school students will be able to network with about 100 engineering firms, organizations, agencies and contractors from across Virginia and learn about careers in transportation-related fields, such as civil engineering, architecture, technology, construction and environmental engineering,” stated VDOT.
Students will have an opportunity to try new equipment, including helicopters from the United States Air Force. There will also be giveaways, scholarship opportunities, and prizes, according to VDOT.
