The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is hosting their fall transportation meeting next week and invite the public to come out and provide their input on upcoming projects.
According to VDOT, the meeting will be held on December 14 at their Fairfax office at 4975 Alliance Drive.
The Open House Town Hall meeting will give residents a chance to speak about important projects that VDOT has planned, and learn more about the Atlantic Gateway projects, according to a release.

6 p.m. Open House
Review the list of 62 proposed projects that have been submitted by local and regional governments in the Northern Virginia District for scoring through the SMART SCALE prioritization process. The applications total approximately $3.28 billion in funding requests. For more information, visit www.vasmartscale.org.
6:30 p.m. Town Hall Session
Discuss projects with transportation stakeholders and ask questions.
7:30 p.m. Public Hearing for Atlantic Gateway

SMART SCALE
Scoring results will be posted, and following public meetings in the spring, the Commonwealth Transportation Board will use public feedback and the scoring data to select which projects to fund and include in the next Six-Year Improvement Program by June of 2017.
