More overnight lane closures are planned for I-95 this week in the Fredericksburg area.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), double lane closures are expected on January 24 and 25.
“I-95 lane closures scheduled for tonight were canceled due to rain,” stated VDOT.
More on the closures, from a release:
Beginning Tuesday night, crews will install new guardrail and remove temporary construction barriers at the new Fall Hill Avenue overpass, which is located at mile marker 131 in Fredericksburg.
Crews will also continue with scheduled maintenance work on Wednesday, Jan. 25 on I-95 southbound near Route 17 in Stafford County, which will require a double lane closure.
Bridge deck repairs are needed on the I-95 southbound bridge over Route 17 near Exit 133 (Route 17/Falmouth). Crews need to replace temporary asphalt patches on the bridge deck with concrete to provide a smoother, more durable travel surface and avoid potholes.
