The 45 annual Mid Atlantic Police Motorcycle Riding Committee (MAPMRC) Rodeo will be held October 2 – 5, 2024, at the Virginia Gateway Shopping Center, 13301 Gateway Center Drive, Gainesville, VA 20155.
Each year the MAPMRC hosts yearly first responder motorcycle operators from all around the Mid-Atlantic region, and beyond, for several days of rider training. In addition to training, the MAPMRC raises money for local charities.
Riders will demonstrate their skills and remarkable agility in several courses over the four-day event, culminating in competitions on Friday afternoon and all-day Saturday. Opening ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, admission is free and the event is appropriate for all ages.
Several sponsors and vendors will be present throughout the event. There is a dedicated viewing space, so visitors can watch from a safe distance, and photography and videography are encouraged!
The rodeo is hosted by members of the Fairfax County Police Motor Squad, with the support of members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Prince William County Police, Arlington County Police, City of Alexandria Police and more.
In the last three years, more than $70,000 was raised to benefit numerous charities including Special Olympics Virginia, Boulder Crest Foundation, COPS Kids, and HEROES, Inc. Raffle tickets and rodeo merchandise will be sold during the event.
Ticket sales help support the MAPMRC’s charitable donation. Historical information, the event schedule, and a list of represented agencies and sponsors is available on our website, www.MAPMRC.com.
