Anthony Wesley has won $1 million from the Virginia Lottery.
Wesley purchased the winning lottery ticket for the Mega Millions game at Shoppers, 4174 Fortuna Center Plaza in Dumfries.
His first five numbers — 11-29-34-48-54 — matched those drawn on April 16.
He intends to invest the money.
Drawings for the Mega Millions take place at 11 p.m. on Tuesday’s and Friday’s.
Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of matching the five numbers.
