Bridge rehab work continues on Old Centreville Road over Bull Run, shifting traffic starting on June 20.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), traffic on the road will shift from the northbound lane to the southbound lane after the morning rush.
The $4 million project is being done on the bridge behind a concrete barrier, according to VDOT. The Old Centreville Road bridge was built in 1968.
“Bridge traffic will continue to alternate each way via temporary signals. Drivers should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes,” stated a release.
This new traffic pattern will be effective until the end of September, and the project is set to be completed by the end of fall 2017.
