TD Bank presented the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Veterans Association with a $8,900 check to fund some of their support service work.
The NOVA Veterans Association is a non-profit that provides free resources to military families and veterans, including support with healthcare, housing and employment.
“The association case manages and follows up to relieve frustration and confusion so veterans are taken care of in a caring and effective way,” stated a release.
The bank presented the check during the Veteran’s Day Celebration at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
“Bring Change is an opportunity where we allow the community to donate on behalf of an organization that we choose and that we feel we have a connection with within the communities that we serve,” stated TD Bank Vice President Constantine Ferssizidis in a release.
The head of the NOVA Veterans Association Dr. Angela McConnell expressed her gratitude.
“I want to thank TD Bank for finding us. They’re not only the most convenient bank, what really resonated with us as an organization that works personally day in and day out with veterans and their families is that they’re a human bank. They take personal care of their customers just like we do with our veterans. I want to thank them and their employees for everything they’re doing for our local veterans,” stated McConnell in a release.
