Transportation is a topic of interest for many Northern Virgians.
It will be the focus of The Future of Transit town hall on June 17.
Co-hosted by Neabsco District Supervisor Victor Angry and Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye, the virtual event starts at 6:30 p.m., according to an email from the Occoquan District Supervisor Office.
Attendees will hear from several panelists – Prince William County Department of Transportation Director Rick Canizales, Congressman Gerry Connolly, Department of Rail & Public Transportation (DRPT) Chief of Public Transportation Jennifer DeBruhl, OmniRide Executive Director Bob Schneider, and Virginia Senator Scott Surovell.
The “Springfield to Quantico Enhanced Public Transportation Feasibility Study,” Bus Rapid Transit, OmniRide, and the proposed Federal transportation package are the topics being covered.
Registration is available through eventbrite. The public can send questions when they sign up or take part in a chat when the town hall is taking place.
