Children will be learning how to read this summer, with help from some volunteers.
The Prince William Public Library System (PWPLS) is seeking volunteers for this year’s Summer Reading Program, ”A Universe of Stories.”
It will run from June 11 to August 11, according to a PWPLS newsletter.
Nearly 450 people volunteered for more than 7,900 during the program last year.
Registration is open for those who have assisted previously.
Individuals must be at least 14 years old and provide a valid email address.
Applications, which are available online, should be printed and signed by a parent or guardian.
They must be brought to the PWPLS Volunteer Office — 13083 Chinn Park Drive in Woodbridge, by April 2. Registration for new volunteers will open that same day.
