On Friday, students from Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) honored veterans with a “Thank You Veterans” bus loop parade.
Students from all eight MCPS schools stood outside as veterans made their rounds to each of the schools.
“The purpose of the bus loop parade is to make ‘thank you’ cards for our veterans,” said Melissa Neal from MCPS.
According to Neal, MCPS has done the parade for four years, and does so in partnership with American Legion Post 10.
The veterans were met with much fanfare and excitement from the students.
Veteran’s Day is on November 11.
