A story unknown to many is about to be told.
On September 27, Colonel G. H. “Hork” Dimon (USAF, retired) will discuss the efforts made to prevent a second Berlin blockade 59 years ago.
Dimon’s presentation, “In the Shadows: The Struggle to Mount a Second Berlin Airlift in 1961”, begins at 2 p.m.
This event – originally scheduled for March 15 – was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Cold War Museum is hosting the online program, which is being offered through Zoom.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $20. The funds are going to support the Cold War Museum.
Community members who can’t attend the event may purchase a ticket and receive a link by emailing Cold War Museum Executive Director Jason Hall at jason@coldwar.org.
