Job seekers who want to assist people could end their search at a non-profit.
A few staff positions are available at Action in Community Through Service (ACTS).
Established 51 years ago, ACTS serves the community in various ways.
Not only does the Dumfries-based organization run a Hunger Prevention Center, it also distributes food through the Prince William Food Rescue, which is working with local governments and organizations through the Community Feeding Task Force.
ACTS provides utility assistance and has a domestic violence shelter and 24/7 helpline, as well.
Sexual Assault Specialist, Crisis listener, Resident Assistant and Thrift Store Clerk are among the current openings at the non-profit, according to Director of Human Resources Tiffany Dagulo.
Those interested in the staff positions may learn more information and apply on the ACTS website.
“You want to be able to go into work feeling happy, feeling upbeat, feeling motivated, and … that’s what keeps the organization a great place to work,” Dagulo said. “I really do encourage people to apply, especially if you have the heart to help others.”
There are also volunteer opportunities. More information can be found on the ACTS website. You can sign up to become a volunteer through Better Impact.
