Recreational activities are being offered for area youth.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is launching its Sports League.
Basketball, cheerleading and volleyball are being offered.
The Prince William County region has three clubs — the General Heiser Boys & Girls Club in Dumfries, the Hylton Boys & Girls Club in Dale City, and the Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas.
It costs $115 to participate in basketball or volleyball, until Saturday. The price will then increase to $125.
Basketball skill workouts will be held between Monday and Wednesday. The workouts for volleyball players are taking place on October 26.
Practices for both sports are starting the week of October 28, and the games begin the week of November 18.
Cheerleading is also being offered for $50. They will meet at 6 p.m. on October 14.
Those do not have a Boys & Girls Club membership must pay $50 for children 5 to 13 years old and $25 for participants who are between 14 and 18.
Active members of the military, and families who use Anthem Healthkeepers Plus or United Healthcare Community Plan won’t be required to pay the additional fee.
