The Piedmont Club in Haymarket was filled with activity on Saturday night.
The club served as the venue for Serve Our Willing Warriors’ (SOWW) annual “A Night in Monte Carlo” casino night.
The non-profit provides services to wounded or ill veterans and military service members. It also runs the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run.
The event featured gaming tables, hors d’oeuvers and a silent auction.
All donations and proceeds received from ticket sales, raffles and silent auction will go to benefit SOWW, according to Interim Executive Director Mark Shaaber.
About 130 people attended the event, which was held at The Piedmont Club in Haymarket.
“It went well,” Shaaber said. “There was a larger turn out than expected.”
Many people stayed until the event ended at 10:30 p.m. to socialize and play Blackjack, Roulette and Craps.
The event participants included 25 veterans who have stayed at the warrior retreat.
“They interacted with the crowd and had a great time as well,” Shaaber said.
