County residents and visitors are taking a trip under the sea.
An upcoming event will focus on how the United States tracked Soviet submarines during the Cold War next month.
James Donovan, a retired Navy captain, will the presentation, which begins at 1 p.m. on March 24.
The Cold War Museum and Old Bust Head Brewing Company are hosting the program at the brewery, which is located at 7134 Farm Station Road in Warrenton.
The presentation will focus on James Donovan’s position, which was to monitor the Sound Surveillance System (SOSUS) recorders.
Attendees will be able to ask questions to James Donovan, Retired Navy Captain Kathy Donovan, and Retired Senior Chief Petty Officer Nick McConnell.
Online tickets, which cost $25 on eventbrite, include a beverage, a donation to the museum and access to the museum after the event. Tickets will be $35 at the door.
