The National Weather Service (NWS) has just issued another Winter Weather Advisory, for snow expected during the evening commute.
According to NWS, the advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and snow between one to two inches is expected to accumulate.
NWS is warning of slippery road conditions that could have an impact on drivers commuting in from the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
“Light snow will increase across the advisory area Friday afternoon, with conditions turning icy on any untreated road surfaces,” stated NWS.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will be out pre-treating roads and plowing snow as needed.
