The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is out preparing the roads as the National Weather Service (NWS) is calling for snow this evening through tomorrow morning.
According to NWS, there is a 60% chance of light snow late tonight, predominately after 4 a.m. Less than half an inch of accumulation is predicted.
The NWS is also calling for a slight chance of light snow before 7 a.m. on Saturday morning. Again, less than half an inch of accumulation is expected.
VDOT was out in Northern Virginia already this morning, applying- pre-storm treatment to the roads.
