Washington, D.C., and parts of Virginia and Maryland could be getting more snow and ice.
A winter storm watch will be in effect for the Washington, Baltimore and Fredericksburg areas between late tonight and late Thursday night.
At least 5 inches of snow and a quarter of an inch or more of ice are expected, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The ice will likely lead to tree damage and power outages, and it may be almost impossible for residents to travel.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are finishing pre-treating roads on interstates and primary routes in Northern Virginia, including Prince William County, according to a release from VDOT.
Tonight, VDOT will have around 3,00 pieces of equipment ready to treat roads and plow snow.
Community members are encouraged by NWS to keep an eye on the weather forecasts.
VDOT is advising residents to prepare to stay home and park in a driveway or one side of the street.
