Northern Virginia may be transforming into a winter wonderland this weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is calling for 3 to 7 inches of snow between 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
A winter storm warning has been issued for parts of the region, including Prince William County, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
Driving during the expected winter weather could be dangerous, according to the NWS.
Those traveling are advised to carry a flashlight, food and water in their vehicle.
Crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) have treated roads throughout Northern Virginia.
Motorists should check weather conditions before driving, according to VDOT. They are also advised to park in driveways or on the same side of the streets as their homes.
