Are you interested in learning more about slavery in the 1700s?
Historic Dumfries Virginia and the the Weems-Botts Museum are hosting “An Artful Fellow”: Slavery in Dumfries in the 18th Century.
The virtual presentation starts at 10:30 a.m. on August 20.
It will cover Dumfries historic sites, Virginia laws, and community members.
Tickets for the program are available on eventbrite. Attendees pay what they’d like for the tickets.

Historic Dumfries Virginia is a non-profit that seeks to preserve the history of Dumfries. It runs the Weems-Botts Museum, which is located at 3944 Cameron Street in Dumfries.
