Owners of new and current small businesses have access to a free resource.
Training and counseling is available at the Mason Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
SBDC serves businesses located in Arlington, and Fairfax and Prince William counties.
It has three sites — 4031 University Drive in Fairfax, 9071 Center Street in Manassas, and 14000 Crown Court #205 in Woodbridge.
Businesses that have opened recently are encouraged to participate in “Legal & Administrative Steps to Start a Business,” a group counseling meeting that occurs in Fairfax each month.
Attendees will learn about resources that can help them start their business.
Owners of existing companies can set up an appointment with a Senior Business Counselor and speak with them about an array of subjects, including business plans.
