The first phase of Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center’s emergency department renovation is complete.
Located in Woodbridge, the Sentara medical center made the decision to expand on their service to the community by moving forward with renovation and expanding the department, according to a release.
“The hospital is redesigning the Emergency Department in its efforts to meet the needs of the community by offering a state of the art space that caters to the patient experience and patient care work flows,” stated a release.
On Friday, the main emergency department lobby reopened, as the first phase of the renovations wrapped up.
The rest of the project is slated to be completed by the end of the year.
