New memories are going to be created at a unique event next month.
BrightCare Center is hosting a Sensory Carnival and Health Fair.
Established in 2014, the Manassas-based non-profit serves individuals who have disabilities.
Games, yoga and sensory corners are a few features of the event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 17.
It’s occurring at 1 County Complex Court in Woodbridge, according to a release from BrightCare Center.
“We are thrilled to offer the Carnival as a fun way to bring all members of the Northern Virginia community together,” Founder and Director Nyome Kamara said in a release. “We encourage Northern Virginians to come out and experience a different type of carnival where making connections, gaining new experiences, and engaging with friends and community is key.”
Tickets for the Sensory Carnival and Health Fair are $15. Early Bird tickets can be purchased on eventbrite for $10.
The proceeds will benefit the families that BrightCare Center supports.
“This event is especially meaningful to us at BrightCare as we work on expanding services such as after school and summer camps to younger aged children with special needs and continue working to create a Northern Virginia community that is inclusive to all,” Kamara said.
Sponsorship opportunities and tables for vendors are being offered.
