Dale City Elementary School students and teachers are receiving necessary items for the new school year.
The Dale City Civic Association (DCCA), Welburn Management and the Woodbridge Rotary Club recently collected school supplies through DCCA’s annual “Community Backpack” drive.
Eight boxes of donations were brought to the elementary school on Tuesday, according to DCCA Secretary Patti Beattie.
DCCA is a non-profit that hosts various events and programs year-round. It hosts meetings on the second Thursday of every month, aside from August. They begin at 7 p.m. at the Birchdale Recreation Center, 14730 Birchdale Avenue.
