The Prince William County School Board has given the thumbs up on a spending plan.
Its members approved a fiscal 2022 budget on Wednesday.
Raises for employees and pandemic-related support for them and students are included in the budget.
It also features additional pre-kindergarten classrooms and mental health and wellness support for students.
Superintendent Steve Walts presented the proposal to the School Board in February.
Additional details on the spending plan can be found on the PWCS website.
On April 6, the budget is going to be shared with the Board of County Supervisors (BOCS), which is hosting a public hearing about the proposed budget and tax rates on April 13. The county supervisors plan to approve the budget on April 27.
