Santa’s coming to Occoquan again on December 5!
According to LaVerne Carson, president of the Occoquan Business Guild, Santa has been visiting Occoquan each year since 1975, and that will continue this holiday season.
Captain Mark of the Rivershore Charter will be bringing Santa into town by boat, according to Carson.
Once Santa arrives, the O.W.L Volunteer Fire Department will meet Santa at Mamie Davis Park dock, and drive him to the Occoquan Town Hall, where he’ll meet with children.
Carson stated that Santa will sit with each child in his sled, and hear what they want for Christmas.
If you’re looking to take part in this annual Occoquan tradition, make sure you’re in town by 12 p.m., and remember to bring your camera!
