Making a difference in the community is possible this upcoming holiday season.
Volunteer bell ringers are needed for The Prince William County Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
The funds collected are used locally, according to the Register to Ring website. They support anti-human trafficking efforts, homeless shelters, youth programs and other initiatives.
Community members and organizations who are interested in becoming volunteer bell ringers may sign up on the Register to Ring website. After typing in the city and state or zip code, volunteers may pick a location and choose from among two-hour shifts.
There is also an option to serve as a “virtual ringer” and set up an online fundraiser that family and friends can donate to.
