Saving money is a possibility for Virginia residents.
Sales Tax Holiday is occurring between August 7 and August 9, according to the Virginia Tax website.
During that time, consumers won’t need to pay sales tax on a range of products.
These items include certain school supplies that are $20 or less, and clothes and shoes that cost no more than $100.
Some hurricane and emergency preparedness items also qualify.
Portable generators with a price tag of $1,000 or less, and gas-powered chainsaws up to $350 are among them.
Sales tax won’t be charged on chainsaw accessories and other certain hurricane preparations products that are a maximum of $60.
Specific home items produced by Energy Star or WaterSense that cost $2,500 or less are also eligible.
Check out the Sales Tax Holiday guidelines to learn more about which items it applies to.
