Join in on the festivities and take part in ‘Sail Occoquan’ on May 21 in Occoquan.
The annual event, which will be from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. (with a rain date of May 22) will include the Blessing of the Fleet, according to a release.
There will also be a boat parade, led by Prince William and Fairfax first responders, with fire boats with high powered water cannons, as well as other boats, according to a release.
Residents can watch the boat parade on the Occoquan Boardwalk, or Mamie Davis Park, stated a release.
The event is being hosted by the Occoquan River Maritime Association, according to a release.
