Traffic patterns are changing in one area of Manassas.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, Sudley Manor Drive and Bethlehem Road drivers will face road closures and alternating traffic.
The work will continue until 3:30 p.m. and resume from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Officials are hoping to increase safety through new and updated pavement markings, according to a release from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
After the work has been finished, motorists won’t be allowed to enter Bethlehem Road by driving across Sudley Manor Drive.
Those traveling north must turn right on Sudley Manor Drive east, make a u-turn at Chatsworth Drive, and turn right on Bethlehem Road.
Southbound Bethlehem Road drivers will be required to run right on Sudley Manor Drive west, make a u-turn at Route 234, and turn right on Bethlehem Road.
